Flag Football Program
LPYF will be offering Flag football for the 2009 season. The flag program will be a local program with all games being played in Lake Placid at the Lake June complex. We are planning to play the games on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. Flag football will be open to participants ages 5-6-7 and will cost $35.00. The season will begin on August 10, 2009 and run for approximately 8 weeks. The flag program is a non-contact, co-ed program designed to introduce the participants to the game of football and to emphasize the importance of academics, teamwork, and sportsmanship to all participants.
The flag program is a division of Pop Warner Little Scholars and therefore will adhere to the national rules and regulations. We will participate in the Cub division and offer participation to children ages 5,6, & 7. League age cut-off date is July 31st of the current year and shall be the participants league age for the coming season.
Registration to participate in the flag program is the same as our other football/cheer programs. We must have the following information submitted prior to starting practice:
Proof of Age
(copy of birth certificate)
Scholastic Fitness
(copy of final 2008-09 report card, if in school this year)
